How to shine up the flakes in metallic paint?

I painted my car door with metallic paint. At first glance it looks good but when you look closer, the door doesn't have the same type of pop from the metallic flakes that the rest of the car has.

Is there a way to bring out the metallic flake?

Maybe a rubbing compound? How to shine up the flakes in metallic paint?
You can try a rubbing compound. What this will do is shine up the clearcoat, if the clears dull it may make the metallics look dull. If its a modern base/clear finish the metallics are under a layer of clearcoat. How to shine up the flakes in metallic paint?
did you use a clear coat base coat system.if you did, best thing to do is re sand it with 600 grit wet or dry,and re clear it. sounds like you might not have gotten enough clearcoat on it.
try clear coat but if that dosnt work u might have to repaint with more sparkles mixed with the paint
