What should i do to redecorate my room? Accent walls? Metallic paint?

So i was planning on repainting my room with gray on three walls and a bright red on the other w/ black furniture. But i though that won't look feminine enough and considered shimmerstone paint and metallic paint but they were expensive and complicated. So is there any way to make the walls shimmery without extra steps (such as adding glitter to the paint) and isn't expensive. Will have red and gray and black look too goth or manly without sparkles? What should i do to redecorate my room? Accent walls? Metallic paint?
Those colors will not look masculine if you use the right accessories. You don't need glitter to make it look girly. If you want the shimmer, then get it from fabrics. Get red curtains and bedding that have sheen to them. Red candles, red vases with willow branches. Get some really cool red floral prints for the walls. Colors don't determine whether a room is masculine or feminine. Blue is thought to be one of the most masculine colors, but I've seen it done up girly, you can definitely do the same with red. What should i do to redecorate my room? Accent walls? Metallic paint?
Congratulations on choose some sophisticated and classy colors.

Those colors are a good basis for making your room Asian.

Try a soft dove-grey, crushed-silk curtains that puddle on the floor, tied back with an antique brass tie-back. Have some antique brass ornamentation, perhaps a big floor pot with pink silk cherry blossom stems, the really long ones. (this could be your ';feminine'; touch)

Place your bed on the wall that you paint red, and over your desk (if you have on in your room) hang a large round paper lantern light fixture(available at Pier 1 Imports, or other import store). Introduce a third color, maybe a deep teal blue, in cloisonaise objects on a black shadow box.

Very classy. Serene. And best of all, not the neon pink or blue zebra junk that so many young ladies are putting in their rooms.
You can use gray and red walls and black furniture as long as you have the right bedding.

I think I'd use a fairly plain gray and white or black and white comforter and add red in the accent pillows, throws, lamps, area rugs, art, etc.

Cool!

You can make gray/red look super sophisticated. But if you're going to do it, do it right (take the extra steps needed) otherwise, you will really regret it.

Use a semi gloss red. Nuff said.

Use semi-gloss gray. After that dries, use clear glaze mixed with a silver metallic to do an interesting texture effect.

Give it some thought and practice on foam-core board.

Paint is the cheapest renovator and when done right, it can make your space look incredible!

Good luck!
well it depends on what your into. If u like those colors then deffinatley go for it! and maybe add some griry things like pictures on the walls, or an area rug that shows the femine side of you. it might drain out room, the gray, so definately throw in some colors to make your room stand out. hope it helps!
