Removal of metallic paint?

Some nice kind so and so has sprayed grafitti on the door of the communal entrance to my flat, the paint is hard and metallic, i think some kind of car paint and they have sprayed across both the glass and the metal part of the door.

I have reported it to the local council who are supposed to deal with this sort of thing, which of course they haven't!

Can anyone recommend something to remove it with, possibly somthing i might already have at home (i tried bleach on the off chance - it didn't work!) or something cheap and easily findable at a local supermarket, DIY store or similar.

WHITE SPIRIT REMOVES METALIC PAINT FROM SUPER MARKET ITS ABOUT 80 PENCE A BOTTLE !!Removal of metallic paint?
Nitromose is a liquid paint remover that removes just about any type of paint, but it will remove the original paint also. You could sand it off, but you will again be likely to damage the surrounding paintwork. Leave it to those responsible unless you want to spend a day doing it for them.
Paint stripper will shift it but may ruin the metal frame - check the instructions.

A pallet knife will also do it.
Nitromors will shift it....but it will take the other paint off as well.
i think your best bet is to get some hot soapy water and just rub hard and be patient, paint strippers and things like that, will take the paint/varnish off the door.
